modern society seems to have lost respect and appreciation for nature. i'd like to remind others that this is completely unwarranted: natural creations are innately beautiful. i wish the world could see that more. 

 

i am an ecologist, artist, and educator: i teach both environmental/sustainable concepts and yoga/meditation instruction. having studied studio art, i find joy in creating art via various forms of media, although i prefer landscape and macro photography to capture nature's most moving creations. i am on track to publish my first novel, an allegorical fantasy fiction that draws parallels to both the human race's toxic relationship with the environment and themselves. you'll notice that 'nostalgia' is named second to nature: that is due to my life-long fixation with anything nostalgic. oxford dictionary defines this as evoking 'sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations.' to me, this goes hand in hand with my feelings towards nature and connection to the self. you'll find this theme running through my art, words, and teachings.

 

my hope is that one or more of these offerings might help at least one person reconnect within and with the world around them.
